It's nearly 11:15 PM and its time to write. Well, it's past time. Unfortunately, I haven't stuck to a writing schedule, which means it's too easy to let the day slide past me. It's not that it was an unproductive day for many other measures. I actually took care of a number of things around the house and a long day at an appointment. Regardless, I haven't done any work on Mack Hawthorne and now I have to work later than I would like.

One of the things that I struggle with is not working on something when I'm the only one who is setting the schedule. I hate doing dishes, yet I did dishes instead of writing. (The dishes really did need to be done.) I sat down at my desk, and I had video game up. So I played a couple of levels. Oh look, YouTube! I watch a few videos. Then I realize it's late and I haven't done any writing.

I thought about just passing on it and going to bed. I'm feeling like Sleepy up at the top of this post, but I feel like I've been avoiding writing. Things feel a bit stuck right now, and that makes it harder to sit down at the desk. And like I've said before, one of the hardest parts of writing is [the fight to get started](https://www.jasoncringle.com/the-fight-to-get-started/). So for the last few minutes of the day, I will grind out Mack, Wes, and maybe Theodore leaving the city. (I'm still debating some stuff with Theo.)

On that note, it's back to Restaria.
